The last few days we've had a mini heat wave, it actually feels like the Mediterranean- it's been beautiful. It has convinced me on my 'colour' choice for summer I'm not going for deathly pale or extremely tanned I'm going to go for healthy glow so I don't look like a vampire, I am however re dying my hair to almost black I think, I like it and it stands out more.
I'm still on my quest for a vintage life and wardrobe and have
been bidding on beautiful things on eBay however they've all been a little too much and tonight I'm hoping and praying for an eBay miracle on a wonderful blue and white floral dress (I'm still searching for a Shaheen). I finally found the Vintage Fashion Guild, God knows why I didn't find it sooner, it has information on vintage designers and labels and trends and the forum is brilliant for any and almost every vintage fashion question.
Anyway I bought some cute shoes off eBay (I think they're 1940's- maybe i should try asking the VFG forum) and I love them to pieces and they fit like a glove, I can't believe my luck there!
I've also started to collect something else *eeek* I found these 2 photos in a little antiques shop and thought about how cute it would be to collect 'fashion' pictures of best friends or sisters, mothers and daughters. They only cost me 90p each so it's somewhat of a cheap, left over change thing but I think they're cute and in a way I feel sad for them sitting in a box never to be seen again and separated from their owners (or relatives).
