asos
I love ASOS's autumn colour palette of camel, rust, wine and khaki. I love the wine coloured dress and the models hair, I've always wanted ginger hair- I just wish I had the guts to give it a try.

flowers
Today I found a couple of my vintage watches and managed to get them working, the little round one is a bit slow but I still think its amazing. I have a slightly bigger version of the silver one somewhere but it's been over wound and I'm not quite sure where it is.

Also I bought these flower hair clips today, I'll probably never wear them but they're pretty nevertheless.

50 questions
I haven't done one of these since the good old days of myspace and today is cold and rainy and I couldn't think of anything better to do, this one is pretty in depth and a little more grown up.
- How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? 21 (I like the number)
- Which is worse, failing or never trying? failing to never try
- If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? I think we don't realise how short life is until it's too late and we don't have time to do the things we really want to do
- When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done? I'm hoping I'd done more
- What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world? I don't think I'd change anything, actually I might put some trees on Iceland and make the sea bluer and the sand whiter worldwide
- If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? Spending days at the beach and being with people you love
- Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? I'm doing what I believe in for the most part, but then some days I find it hard to believe that what I'm doing is right.
- If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? probably drink a yakult every morning in hope of being more than average and take vitamins and eat more fruit and veg
- To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken? Only slightly, I think you just make the decisions from what life has thrown at you
- Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? I worry about doing the right things, but the right things for me and no one else
- You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do? Say my piece and probably respect and admire them less
- If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? Don't worry about what everyone else thinks, worry about what you think
- Would you break the law to save a loved one? I would
- Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity? Not yet, I imagine it will be a magical moment though
- What’s something you know you do differently than most people? I take note of every road sign so I always know where I am (I think this stems from the job I do)
- How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy? because everyone is different... that was a stupid question
- What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What's holding you back? I'd like to see a lot more of the world, I just don't want to do it alone
- Are you holding onto something you need to let go of? Maybe but then I think there's a reason why you still hold on
- If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? Finland, because they have stupidly hot summers and stupidly cold winters, or Canada because it's pretty
- Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? Now days I only press it once, after years of trying to work it out I'm pretty sure pushing it more does nothing, although I think if you press the button more than once at traffic lights its quicker
- Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? joyful simpleton as then I'd be oblivious to what everyone else thought
- Why are you, you? Because I am (stupid question II)
- Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? I always try to be and I think I am most of the time
- Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you? When a good friend moves away, if you've lost touch they can't have been that important to you
- What are you most grateful for? As cheesy as it sounds, being alive and healthy
- Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones? I judge this on I hope to have many more memories to come than have past so if I was forced to choose I'd lose my old ones
- Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first? It's hard not to doubt, I always challenge everything
- Has your greatest fear ever come true? My greatest fear, meeting an alien- No and I'm hoping it never will, my second greatest fear of being eaten by an escalator nearly came true, it just chewed me up and spat me out
- Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now? If you remember it, it matters, now it just doesn't seem so important
- What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special? I have many from making mud pies and chasing our old mynah bird round the garden to winning tunnel ball at sports day and watching a tadpole grow into a frog
- At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? the day I realised I don't care what others think or see and I just did exactly what I wanted without fear of being judged
- If not now, then when?
- If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose? nothing
- Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever? yes
- Why do religions that support love cause so many wars? Because religion is made from human fear and not knowing, and is an excuse for many things including war
- Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil? I think you know what is right and wrong for yourself but it might not be the same for someone else
- If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? without a doubt yes, I'd hand my notice in the very same day
- Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing? less then I'd have more time to do things I want
- Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before? not this day, but most work days
- When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in? I don't think I ever truly have
- If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? I'd go visit the Queen and warn her to tell everyone else then I'd visit the people that mean the most, mainly those that don't know how much they mean
- Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous? To be extremely happy yes, but not for looks or fame
- What is the difference between being alive and truly living? doing what you want when you can and doing the most with every moment you have, being alive is just existing
- When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right? when you calculate the risks and rewards more than once
- If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? because then we know we've done wrong
- What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? I wouldn't do anything different, I've started to realise I don't care what people think, at the end of the day if you don't know who they are it doesn't matter and every one judges.
- When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing? when I woke up this morning
- What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love?
- In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that? Yesterday I got a temporary hamster (I'm pretty sure I'll remember that) the day before is at work (I wont remember that) and the day before I can't remember now. To be fair I have a pretty good memory but it only remembers the important stuff
- Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you? I'm pretty sure I'm making them for myself
добрый день
I've decided to learn Russian, I've tried before but never got further than "Hello, my name is Sonia", but I've decided to learn it properly and have started a PDQ linguaphone course. So far I can order myself a coffee (extremely useful as I only drink tea!) Learning a language is one of the 50 things on my 'to do before I die' list and I've always been interested in Russian and considering 278million people speak it, it may come in useful although writing it is proving somewhat impossible!!

le sac
I love the idea and look of the American Apparel Le Sac dress so I decided to buy one, I've gone for the natural/ black colour and also bought a spare gold strap to dress it up a bit. I'd also love it in galaxy, evergreen and dijon. It's an amazing dress and you can wear it in like a zillion (I say a zillion it's realistically about 15) different ways.

I've also started to look for a winter coat (already) and I really like this Cath Kidston one but as its Shetland tweed its £325 and that's a bit too much for a coat I think. I had a look on ASOS and saw this lovely coat on a picture advertising the fur collar and I was unable to find the coat on there- hopefully it'll be on sale soon.

wellingtons and a giant turkey
Yesterday I had a late birthday treat and my presents from my big brother, sister-in-law and my little nephew. We went to Kent Life for a picnic, with a home-made courgette and chocolate cake- sounds bizarre but it was rather good. I was licked to death by a cow and freaked out by a giant turkey- now I see why we eat them, and was pounced upon by sheep! For my present I got something I've always wanted... a pair of Hunter wellingtons and they're pink, I'm not normally a pink person but I LOVE them =)

postcards
I've decided to collect something and I think my mum's obsession with postcards may have worn of on me as I've decided to collect Curt Teich pin up's, I was looking on Etsy and eBay and fell in love with them so I've decided that I'm going to collect them. Firstly I think they are beautiful pin up pictures and secondly when I grow up and have a house I can hang them somewhere quirky.

So far I've bought two, including the one on the top here and a similar one but in green which I will post when I get it and I'm waiting for a shipping quote on the last three. I don't know how many are in the collection but it looks like a challenge and I'm sure there's a list on the internet somewhere.
